Joining a service online

We would all want to be at the memorial or funeral service of somebody we love, but, if that is not possible, then being able to join the service remotely can still be a great comfort.

To join a service remotely you will need the connection details below.

We use Zoom to provide a video and audio connection to the service - please keep your own microphone muted during the service to avoid interrupting it for others.

If you have not used Zoom before you may need to download the application to your device. Follow this link (Download Zoom) and choose the one most suitable for your device. It is possible to join a Zoom connection without installing the application by using your internet browser, but it will work better if Zoom is installed.

To join you can either simply follow the direct link to the Zoom meeting shown below - the meeting ID and passcode are encoded in the link and so it should allow you to join without entering these. If you have any problems with this, you can enter the meeting ID and passcode into your device's Zoom application.

You might like to test Zoom on your system by using the direct link. Unless the Zoom connection is open in the church you should see a message saying something like 'Please wait for the host to start this meeting'. This indicates that your device is connecting properly, and that when the meeting is opened you will be connected automatically to the church.

If you are having problems making Zoom work on your device then visit Zoom's help page at Joining a Zoom meeting where there is advice for connection with most kinds of device.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Welcome

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at St.Mary's (details below) for our Sunday Service starting at 10am. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

We serve tea, coffee and biscuits afterward. It is a great way to meet people, or simply take time to find your bearings. All refreshments are free.

Plan your journey:

Open Google Maps

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There are disabled toilets in the main foyer.

Our Service

Getting Connected

Small Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, some afternoons and some evenings. Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
